Your Privacy Matters

Your privacy is one of the foundations of effective therapy. The Relationship Space is committed to protecting the confidentiality of your personal health information in accordance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and applicable Texas law.

Information shared during therapy is kept confidential except in circumstances where disclosure is permitted or required by law. These situations may include:

  • When there is concern of serious harm to yourself or another person.

  • Suspected abuse or neglect of a child, older adult, or vulnerable adult.

  • When records are subpoenaed or ordered by a court.

  • When otherwise required by federal or state law.
